The CHS operates a museum where residents and visitors alike may learn about its history, culture, and unique traditions.

We seek to preserve our heritage by hosting archaeological groups' digs, organizing seminars and craft exhibitions, and maintaining a good reference library of Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique history, including some general West Indian and African history.

Message from the 2025 President of the Board of Directors:

Welcome to our site. I am Bryan Whyte, President of the Carriacou Historical Society. Fifty years ago, a small group of local folks were chatting about their collection of artifacts found at various locations on Carriacou.  Then the idea came up 'Let's start a Museum' and the Carriacou Museum was born. What follows is a fascinating story.

 As President,  I'm dedicated to making our museum a vibrant space where art, history, and culture come alive. Our exhibits and programs are designed to inspire, educate, and delight visitors of all ages.
